Remembered
<< A Love
Letter to God >>
I've always wondered
If I could love you any more
In these hopeless dreams of sorrow
In these endless chaos of burning passion
And in these sick hearts of melancholy
Yet your divine voices step in
The voices of eternal beauty
Capture and transform all broken spirit
The silent kisses of your Grace
Caress every trembling nerve
Shaken every strain of the shattered soul
Tinted every tear in the shadow
Then, in your merciful eyes
You will see
Within my sorely broken heart
Sealed in this wild sky
MY LOVE OF YOU
LOVE AND LOVE AND LOVE
~ Sarah Cheung
It is better to be remembered than to be noticed?
This could be my last time talking about photography. Photography
could be the most emotionally draining media, as it is probably the
most honest art form to depict human conditions both the darkness
and the delightful.
However it is I find a great humanity and compassion in these
photographs. They had captured the most powerful thing of the mind,
COMPASSION. Some of these pictures could be painful to look at. But
they move me. I think of them when I am alone, when I sleep... I
dream about them. What I fall for in these pictures is the depth of
its "emotional truth".
They are tormenting and violently
intrusive at times as some of them force me to confront the darkest
part of my psyche, and brutally reveal the brokenness in me, a
brokenness that I can't fix. Nevertheless they are all lovely and
insanely beautiful.
I am going to introduce you the 3 most unforgettable artists and
photographers as the following:
E. J. Bellocq (1873-1949)
Diane Arbus (1923-1971)
Cameron, Julia Margaret (1815-1879)
